For All The Children

by

Jim Hill

… My Mother always said that every day was Children’s Day.

With that in mind, I penned the following. …

~

May you find a bit of each day, full to overflowing,

with sunshine and warmth.

May you have smiles, laughter, and tears of joy.

May you have a sense of humor; learn humility; know happiness,

compassion and kindness.

May you understand strength and tenderness.

May you gain wisdom; be accomplished and proud.

May you feel that you belong; that you are needed;

that you are loved.

May you have hope, faith, charity, dignity and dreams.

May you have the opportunity to ride the merry-go-round,

and a chance to grab the brass ring.

May you meet a Cinderella or a Prince Charming.

May you love.

May you "see the elephant" and desire to see

"more elephants".

May you believe in belief.

May you stay forever young.

May you see the rainbow

and the pot of gold at its end.

May all these things

be your destiny.
